As Spike is terrorizing Tom being tied up to his dog house, Tom holds the bat and then Tom raises the bat over his, creating a sense that he is about to use it. Then Tom finishes his action by hitting Spike on the head.

Bugs Bunny at the Pitching Mound (simultaneously playing every position), uses his legs to get taller and stretches' his arms up into the air to prepare for a action, making the audience await his next action. Bugs further anticipates by winding his entire body multiple times, finishing with his leg up in the air to make the audience want to see his release/throw.

As Aang and Bumi talk, Bumi raises his leg and arm to show he is about to make his next move and then proceeds throws them down to summon a rock. Then Bumi moves his arm closer and behind himself with the camera closing in on Bumi hands because he puts them together, indicating he is ready to use them, for his main action in this fight sequence. His movements show he is repeatedly preparing his body to mak the move against Aang.
